Want Something and LET YOURSELF HAVE IT!

What movie is my title from?

Don’t be mad! It’s been awhile, I know. But, in my defense, I have been SUPER busy. This summer I had an internship with Teen Vogue, which was insane and awesome! I can’t post too many details, but if you are interested just chat with me! All the people I worked with and for are amazing people and so grateful for getting to know them and look forward to see what those talented people do in the future.

At the end of the summer, I was able to assist stylist Laura Pritchard, who styled the Teen Vogue Fashion Haute Spot for Fashion Week! That was another amazing experience and I learned so much and it helps that she too is an awesome person and incredibly hard working and creative. I would post pictures but not sure I can just yet!

Now that NY Fashion Week is complete I decided to share my top 5 collections with you (a little late)! I appreciate your feedback and would love to hear your favorite looks, moments and collections! Also, special shout out to my friend Elmar!

As always- Comments get shout outs on the next post, which will come in a week or two! I am already planning on London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week coverage as well as share my current obsession!

Below is the S/S 2012 Alexander Wang Show…. Props to Kelly for interning there this summer!

Guess Who’s Back?! Not Slim Shaddy…

So this blog first started as a means to chart my progress is fashion and modeling… However, after taking a lengthy hiatus, my priorities have changed. I started working for All Saints over this past summer- more will come from that- and being so busy with school and work, modeling has gone to the back burner. I decided that I will pursue hardcore when I am able to move to NYC full time. Also, I’m in Sydney, Australia.

Slash— Read my first published article!

Also check out some awesome photography and some of my newest pictures @ Meyer Inspired!

Sydney is amazing. This city is beautiful and way bigger and metropolitan than I thought. Not having to go through a Boston this winter this year is a definite positive in being here as well. The flight here was miserable. I had to fly Tampa NYCLASydney. I was so tired after but being here is surreal. Today was the first moment that I realized where I was. After a day of a scavenger hunt through the city, seeing a ton of amazing sights. Being at Bondi Beach was too great. Pictures to come soon!
I am going to keep this blog as a means to keep people posted on my experiences here in Sydney AND… Sydney fashion is pretty sick. I see so much awesome-ness that I need to share with my fellow Americans and others!
I wrote that first part when I first got to Sydney—- camera broke so that has hindered my ability to post some of Sydney street looks. Yet, I find myself still coming back here and trying to figure what the hell I am going to write about. This past month has been filled with drag kings and queens, launch of Mardi Gras- the Gay and Lesbian parade, a wonderful trip to Melbourne, lots of beach action, and TONS of food!
My favorite part of Melbourne, besides the sick hotel- Mantra at the Bay, was the bar culture. It was very similar to the underground bar scene in New York, the one that comes to mind is Cabin Below in New York. There a lot of lane ways in Melbourne that might seem to lead to nowhere, but not until you go down one that you discover little cafes and bars that only lone stragglers or the in-the-know Melbs would know about.
One day at Coogee beach, exploring the rocky shore with Laura (the Wife) and Car, we found ourselves against the crashing waves at the edge of a low rock cliff. I thought it would be a good idea to go to the very edge and sit down, but of course, as soon as I sit, a huge wave knocks me over and I get thrown across the barnacle covered rocks that hurt just to walk on. I got cut all over my hands and legs and a huge cut on my knee. IT WAS AWESOME.
I have gone to a couple of music events in Sydney- Big Day Out and Kaskade. Pictures to follow.

Also, if you have never heard of Trop Fest it is AWESOME! It is the largest short film festival in the world! Google it 🙂

This past weekend was Mardi Gras as well! It is the Gay Lesbian Parade in Sydney and I got to be in it! It was so much fun! Best thing I have done in Australia for sure 🙂

Also- I know this is a tad late but better late than never! right? –> NYC Fashion Week- My favorites

Burberry Prorsum- This collection was beautiful. I feel like it strayed a little from its typical look, but in a VERY good way. I loved the blending of colors that fused classing fall colors with subtle hints into the winter scene. The collection definitely had a story to tell and there will most surely be a happy-ending. Take a look at some of the photos below and let me know what you think!

Douglas Hannant- I just love collections that are inspired by the flapper. He takes this iconic image of a woman, makes her sexier, more chic, and definitely fashion forward.

Marc by Marc Jacobs- The first thing I thought of when I saw this collection was The Lovely Bones. I love it! I love the color palate of this line the most. I can’t wait to see his influence on the streets come fall!

RAD by Rad Hourani- If I had to pick a collection to wear until the next NYC Fashion Week (or for the rest of my life), it would be this one. This take on fall is definitely a lot darker, which I love. There are so many angles and it is so dramatic I could die! I’m obsessed. Also, I want to note the androgynous models, another theme seen on the runway this season. I don’t know if I’m more obsessed with the models or the clothes!

The Row- speechless.

Robert Geller- If I had to choose a collection for the entirety of the male population to where this fall. It would be this. Omfg.

Christian Siriano- Always amazing. Love the classic pieces. Love the edginess. Love him.

Wayne- Looks like Marilyn Manson and Kelly Cutrone made love on an orange farm. Good or bad? Check below!

Wes Gordon- As a collection- eh. There were some pieces I loved and some I threw up on.

Richard Chai- Loved. One thing was missing though and not quite sure what. Maybe a little more color?
Some collections to look at: Matthew Williamson, Simon Spurr, Jason Wu, Duckie Brown.
Were there any collections you loved or hated! Comment and let me know!
Came by this on accident, and so glad it happened. From London Fashion week

David Koma- Love- edgy, but hot. Very funky and definitely not your typical fall collection.

The Happenings

So for the last few weeks, I moved to Manhattan, even though I am in Florida this week. It was really fun and the agency I have talking to, MI, seems pretty legit, so hopefully I can get some work with them. The apartment I was at, 295 Park Ave South, was perfect location, even though we had some issues haha. A few great things about the place: in the middle of Dos Caminos (amazing Sangria and Guacamole) and Big Daddy’s Diner (amazing everything), walking distance to work, and two blocks from Shake Shack. Notice most of the things I said involved food, AKA I gained weight like a pregnant woman.

I went to two open calls the first week I was there. ReQuest and VNY and was rejected within 30 seconds by both. That’s the business! I met with my new friend Brandon and he gave me some tips as to getting with an agency, basically losing weight, trimming my hair a bit, and being assertive.

I am doing those Insanity workouts (see the video below) and they are truly INTENSE! I sweat so much it’s great, if only I ate properly and not like an 800 pound woman, I would be lookin’ like David Beckham! Haha

I was supposed to get my hair done yesterday, but the guy who was supposed to do it didn’t feel like he could do it. So they had to get the next level person and he wasn’t available till Friday morning, so stay tuned for that!

Fashion by Michelle!

After my interview with Jeff last week, I’ve become engrossed with Lookbook.nu again. There’s just so much inspiration on the site. You can definitely sense the passion in everyone’s photographs. Fashion is a form of art and self-expression for all of these people.

One of my favorite Lookbooks of all time is that of Pascal Grob [http://lookbook.nu/user/13336-Pascal-G], a 21 year old student from Zurich, Switzerland. The thing I really enjoy about his look is that he never goes over the top. His style is very streamline, classic and toned down; to me, simplicity has always been the key. To quote Tim Gunn, “The simpler the clothes, the more impact they have.” The two aspects I have to say that I like most about Pascal’s outfits are that he reuses a lot of the same pieces and techniques [i.e. cuffing], and his ability to expertly pair expensive designer clothing with items he finds at popular budget friendly places like H&M or American Apparel. It goes to show that you don’t have to buy new [or pricey] clothes whenever a new trend pops up to look polished and fashionable.

Check out Pascal’s blog: http://www.fashionbitsandbobs.com/

The Happenings

I posted some new digitals that lovely K Po took for me while I was in NYC last weekend. BTW had so much fun. Finally have an apartment- thanks to Tommy’s reference! Can’t wait for summer to be here. I saw Katie’s play- Rehearsal- so effing funny! She did an awesome job and I’m truly proud to say she is one of my best friends! We went to Cosmic Cantina and had organic burritos, later I ate a pound of froyo. Of course- per tradition- I went to Union Square farmers market… I go every time I’m in the city. I can’t wait to get all my fresh produce from there this summer! Saturday morning tradition!

I also posted photos from the shoot with Sadie Dayton from a few weeks ago! Let me know what you think!

As for agencies- I dropped off pictures in NYC but haven’t heard anything- but I am not freaking out… yet. I did submit pictures to Storm Models in London- Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Alex Wek, Alessandra Ambrosio are all signed with them- and they requested more pictures from me- we know how that goes haha. Haven’t heard anything back since… keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, do a spell, and all the stuff that would get me signed haha.

I also put some pictures from an event I did for Rag and Bone at Saks in Boston- got to meet the designers it was sick!

Finally got a place to live this summaaa

Desiderata by Max Erhmann

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Fashion and Entertainment

Fashion by Michelle!

Hey everyone! Lately, I’ve been talking with a friend who I lost touch with for a few months. He’s a big fan of fashion, and has a great Lookbook.nu account. So, I thought that I would introduce you to him this week! His name is Jeff Phillips, and I had a little interview with him about his style and what he thinks about when he creates an outfit.

1) You’re a stylish guy, but are you actually into fashion and trends or do you just wear whatever you have around?

I am definitely into fashion. I find myself gravitating a lot to the industry because since I’m really big into photography. I adore looking at magazines such as GQ, W, Esquire, Nylon, as well as Vogue because I love seeing the way designers showcase their latest collections. The advertisements inspire me to think outside of the box, so to speak, and to try new concepts in reference to my own photography.

When it comes to my thoughts though in the morning as far as what I’m going to wear for the day, I do find myself debating in my head as to whether or not certain clothes match well with others, or completely clash. There are days, though, just like everyone in the world, where you’ll find me in a pair of vintage skinny jeans and a v-neck t-shirt.

I do keep up with the trends, mainly through means of the internet, as well as the magazines mentioned above. I find that being into photography is a beautiful “gateway” in to the world though, because no matter where you are, you can sign onto a website like Flickr or LookBook and instantly see people wearing clothes all over the world in ways that you never even conceived. Also it makes it easy to keep up with the trends before they go mainstream, or you see them in your local areas.

Most guys aren’t big into shopping sprees and such, but I, on the other hand, will spend every last cent and do massive damage to my bank account when it comes to shopping for clothes. I have more clothes than I have room for and there are tons that are sitting in my closet with the tags still on them because I’ve yet to wear them!

2) How would you describe your style?

To be quite honest I’m not sure if my style could be described in words. I’ve always been the kind of person who enjoys keeping people guessing, so they never really know what to expect. I like that, because I like doing my own thing, or taking a popular trend and putting my own twist to it to make it my own.

I guess if I did have to classify it though, I’d probably say that if Jude Law and James Dean got together with David Beckham and merged their own styles, it would be similar to what you see on me.

You know, a little bit of British class, with a dash of American rebel.

3) Do you think that where you live [Georgia, the South] has an influence on your style?

In all actuality, I find that I seem to rebel against the fashion norms of the area I live in. The only influence it’s really had on me is it has made me want to be different and do my own thing as opposed to what the majority seems to rock around here.
My dad is originally from Los Angeles and my mom and him lived out there the first eight years they were married, so needless to say it’s sort of like my second home in many ways. I’ve found that the freedom of style that you find in the bigger cities like LA, isn’t really found in many of the Southern areas due to the fact that it seems that so many people are still so close minded in what is acceptable and what is not. Just like anywhere, the trends and the new stuff hit the big cities first, and then eventually several months, sometimes even more than a year later, they finally start making little glimpses in smaller areas like where I live.
I also stay heavily in the loop about clothing on the European fronts as well. I’m not a heavily built guy, so I find it quite difficult to find clothes around here that are actually designed for people like me, without having to raid the teen section just to get a proper fit.
So if anywhere has influenced my style, it would be other places such as the West Coast (primarily the Southern California region) and Western Europe (especially the U.K.), not the Southern East Coast.

4) If you have to put on an outfit quickly, what’s your go-to item of clothing?

My go to item of clothing if I had to pick one would be my vintage washed skinny jeans, they seem to go with everything I can put together, a shirt and tie, a deep v-neck t-shirt. I mean, really, they are just that versatile.

5) What celebrities do you find that you look to for inspiration in reference to style?

Honestly, I could write a novel here because really I draw from so many different people. Some of the ones I’m most heavily inspired by are that of James Dean, Jude Law, David Beckham, Daniel Craig, as well as the random guy I might pass by on the street. I just find inspiration in everything and everyone. I think that everyone has their own unique style and I like to take those styles and merge them all together to add my own personal touch and make it something that I get enjoyment from.

The Happenings

Thursday night was so fun. Laura and I went over to Gia and Caitlin’s apartment. We had fondue and champagne and taught Caitlin to move her hips like… well…  blacks and latinos haha we literally danced for 4 hours straight. Amazing work out. BT DUBS- Caitlin is a great dancer!

So last weekend was one of the best Ive had in a while. Friday night, I did not go out since I had to be up at 530 the next morning for my shoot in Newburyport. So Friday night I just watched movies and it was great. The next morning, I met up with Kelly at 540ish, she was the suedo stylist for the day and we made our way to my friend Abba’s place because she was driving us all to Newburyport for the shoot. Abba and I have worked together at Ruelala and Ian, the other male model, is a semi newbie to the industry but super chill guy. The shoot was awesome! We got to shoot on Plum Island beach and I had to get in the FREEZING water. OMG I forgot the photographer, Sadie- AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER, got us bagels from some place that is known for their French toast bagel aka I ate two of them haha. OOOoOo Also, shout out to Callista, ex-stylist for Ruelala- off to bigger and better things!, for organizing the whole thing! Anyways, so we shot on the beach was so fun. Then we got lunch and shot with Upper Crust Pizza- aka this is the reason why I love my job. After we were done we got amazing gelato. Newburyport is the CUTEST town I’ve ever been too. Legit.

Sunday, Gia and Caitlin invited me to their Easter Brunch at their other roommate’s, Julie- also a friend of mine, restaurant, Masa. SO GOOD! They started with blue and yellow corn- corn bread, with an assortment of spreads. Then we I had this almond crusted, stuffed with caramelized bananas- French toast- lined with a delicate layer of caramel sauce. So good but so filling! Good thing I had Caitlin and Gia to help me out haha. Then we went and laid out at a park near their place!

As for the trying to get an agency thing, Ive been rejected from a few. But an agency in London, Models 1, requested to see more pictures… so cross your fingers!

AHHHHHH I found a place to live this summer! My friend Tommy told me about his friend in NYC who is looking for a subletter, so I contacted him (Tim) and I’m going to meet him and see the place on Friday while I’m in the city! Also while I am in the city, I will be shooting with Carlo Iyog! http://www.carloiyog.com/

As for news and the happenings that’s all I have, I think.

The MOST comfortable robes and other things to go on my body! Seriously, they make great gifts because they are cheap for the quality of their products and who doesn’t like softness on their bodies!

Here we go! World of Models! Outlier!

Hey! Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope that you decided to support and follow my journey onto becoming successful in modeling. My blog focuses on the male modeling industry, fashion and my life in getting made. I hope that my blog will serve as a guide to getting started in the industry, diet and exercise and behind the scenes of the industry itself. Feel free to leave comments and feedback and help spread the word to your friends! Thanks again and enjoy!

Thanks to Julia, RaeAnne, Roneil and Lindsey for posting comments on the last entry!

RaeAnne- Yeah, my protein intake was a little low last week, but this week I have been eating a lot more tuna and beans and protein drinks and stuff. As far as making runway fashion wearable- basics are your best friend. Places like forever 21, H&M and Topshop where they focus on building and piece together basics. Like the tights, someone could take a pair of old running tights and  cut them up a little bit and throw some baggy shorts over them and you’re close to getting that look. A lot of it is trial and error type of stuff!

Roneil- Im supposed to have a shoot this weekend, but we are trying to figure out transportation and if we can even get there. Sorry I didn’t mention anything about you coming along, but this shoot is a little difficult with the details haha

Check me out! http://www.worldofmodels.com.br/edition47.html… NOW!

Fashion and Entertainment

Fashion by Michelle!

This week, the topic of choice has to do with something I find incredibly genius. I have recently discovered a new men’s fashion designer [there are only a couple pieces for women], which has only been on the scene for half a year. Outlier is not your typical fashion brand because the Brooklyn-based designers,  Abe Burmeister and Tyler Clemens, focus on performance clothing for cyclists. And believe it or not, the clothes are tailored — skin-tight spandex and polyester not included — which means they’re not only appropriate enough to ride to work in, but they also get the green light at the office. If that isn’t cool enough for you, the clothing is also wearable in any type of weather!

One of the things I like most about the brand is the loyalty and effort the designers put into it. Abe and Tyler had no idea how to make clothing before their venture began. All they knew is that they wanted a more comfortable, stylish way to bike around in NYC. Now that’s going [or should I say riding? HA!] the extra mile!

Find out more about Outlier at their website, http://outlier.cc/

The Happenings

So I was contacted by an editor of the Brazilian edition of World of Models who had seen my blog. He wanted to interview me so I obliged! Here is the final product!

Even if you already clicked the first link…http://www.worldofmodels.com.br/edition47.html do it again!

Once more with FEELING (if anyone can get this reference- ill do something extra special for you!)— http://www.packert-motion.com/portfolio/here_we_go

I heard back from Models International and my contact wants me to let him know about two weeks before I move there. I haven’t really heard much about them but at least it’s something! Otherwise, I heard from APM and my contact there was not interested… sadness… I have a feeling that Ill not get anything until I move and go to open calls the first few days I’m there…

I worked an event for Reebok this past week at the Sheraton Hotel in Boston. It was a sales meeting to go over goals, strategies and direction of the company and hosted all the sales people from all over the world. I was originally supposed to be a fit model- basically just wear clothes for the people at the meeting… but after the fitting on Friday, I got a call from my agency and they cut my hours because I’m too thin… I haven’t heard that EVER haha

STILL HAVE NOT FOUND A PLACE TO LIVE. EVERYTHING I FIND AND GET CLOSE… SOMETHING HAPPENS AND IT DOESN’T WORK OUT. MIGHT BE HOMELESS IN MANHATTAN THIS SUMMER.

Fashion and Entertainment

Your weekly Entertainment Update with Jordan Diaz!

With exams this week, Michelle was not able to do her sections this week, soooo I’m doing it!

I was inspired this week, by the technical first week of spring. As the weather warms, HOPEFULLY, I thought id mention some of the trends we will be seeing this spring. First, we have my friend Thiago sporting the sleeveless trend. Tanks are usually common, but here we see a tank paired with a open sleeveless shirt. Whenever I go sleeveless, I like to either wear a tight tank or a over sized tank paired with skinny jeans.

Also, I’d like to congratulate Thiago on booking a job for Hermes!

The second look has to do with tights underwear. This model is wearing bunched tights underneath his shorts. He also demonstrates the shear tops that will be not as rare this spring. Though they get a bad rep sometimes, shear tops, if done right can be sick, like paired with a blazer as this model has on. Thirdly, men will be wearing gladiator sandals. Another trend that used to be common among women will start to blend with men’s wear this spring and summer. Lastly, the look I am most excited about is the short-suit. It’s going to be perfect for warmer weather, but still want to dress up a bit. Thanks to mensrag.com for supplying the pictures!

The results to the VMAN Ford model contest came out. While I was not expecting anything, I am still surprised that none of the four finalists were minorities. All four look like typical models that overwhelm the industry in the past, present, but hopefully things will change in the future.

Also below, I featured a look from Lookbook.com. His name is Damon and he is from London/ NYC.

OoOoO I posted some pictures of Baptiste… he’s my idol bt dubs… He shot the April Icon issue for L’officiel Hommes China…

The Happenings

So this week, I am sending pictures to agencies in NYC. A general low down on what you need to do to try and get any agency is take pictures- refer to the different poses above, most agencies have standard poses they want, but refer to their website to see their requirements. Agencies either have an email that you can submit photos too or you have to mail them. As for what to wear, you should wear basics, as to not take away from you, so jeans and plain t-shirts are perfect. When you submit, you should send your measurements and contact information. I am sending to the following list of agencies:

DNA, APM, Ford, Wilhelmina, Click, New York Models, Red Models, Q, VNY and Adam Models.

Now I have done this before and not heard from anyone. So, as much as I would LOVE to hear from just one of these, and as much as I am going to try and remain optimistic. I can’t expect to hear anything. It’s the way it goes and really, you have to learn to not take it personally! Ill keep you guys updated if anything happens.

Hahaha so after I wrote the previous section, and after I submitted photos, I got this from Click Models NYC-

Thank you for your interest in Click Model Management New York. Although you have a unique look, we are not interested in representing you.

We wish you much success in the future.

Quite the quick response… but it’s ok! I will prevail!

Friday I have a fitting for a corporate sales meeting for Reebok that I am working. I am excited because it pays pretty well, and it is GREAT exposure as all the people from sales and marketing will be there. Wish me luck!

Capstone technically starts Friday as well. So three of my four classes are done and we have to work on this project. Capstone is a 50 page paper- the topic is based around US foreign policy- within a group of 8 people. Then we have to defend our thesis to a panel of judges at the end of the semester.

Also, I get that a lot of people read this who I don’t necessarily know… FEEL FREE TO COMMENT! I would love to see who and where from people are reading my blog!

Thanks!

Fashion and Entertainment

Your Entertainment Update With Jordan Diaz!

Introducing Michelle!!

Hey everyone! My name’s Michelle, and I go to Boston University with Taylor. I’m the new girl that he mentioned last week who will be taking over the men’s fashion section! I’m very excited to finally have an outlet to express my views on menswear to people who will listen!
I just wanted to give you a little background on me – fashion has been a huge part of my life in recent years. But, style itself has always influenced me. I used to want to be an interior designer, and my ridiculous, pipe dream was [and still is, to be honest] to be a bespoke tailor on Savile Row in London. I think that’s why I’m such a big fan of classic, streamline looks on men. A man in a suit can do no wrong in my eyes. 🙂

For my first article, I thought I would talk about something close to my heart, which is Asian fashion, because I’m Chinese. In the past couple of years, there’s been a rise in the number of young Asian-American designers in the fashion industry. The Wall Street Journal stated in an article last September that many of the designers attribute their success to the cultural shift within their respective communities that has allowed them to steer away from traditional career expectations.

With the recent introduction of these unique designers, one has to wonder where they get their inspiration. Seeing as I, unfortunately, can’t get into their heads, I’m unable to give you the facts. However, I have a feeling that many of them are influenced by their home country’s culture. One of the Asian cultures that most fascinate me is that of Japan.

I visited Tokyo two years ago, and the mix of both tradition and modernity was amazing. I half expected everyone to be dressed in kimonos. Oh boy, how wrong I could’ve been! Just as cultural shifts have liberated the work force, they’ve also made way for a new generation of fashion-conscious youth. The young people of Japan have such creativity in their style, whether it’s in the form of a subculture such as Lolita fashion or just someone who loves to experiment with colors and textures. The street style of Tokyo is something to envy; they must have some innovative gene that the rest of us don’t carry. What’s even cooler is that there’s a unique style depending on what area of Tokyo one ventures to. From Harajuku, the eclectic area made famous by Gwen Stefani, to Omotesando [known for its upscale shopping], there’s never a shortage of impressive fashion statements.

The Happenings

Next week I am taking new digitals which will be the ones I submit to agencies a week from this Friday! So Look out for those!

So I tried to go see Shutter Island my last night home with my sister. We went to Panera and I got soup and salad, but that whole day I didn’t have much of an appetite but I thought nothing of it. So after dinner I was increasingly feeling nauseous but I figured sitting in a movie would be fine. We walked into the theater and my sister got all this food but I was nauseated at the smell of it all and then waiting for the movie to start I turned to my sister and said I had to go throw up. I ran out of the theater and threw up. Best part… I come back to my sister, tried to watch the movie but couldn’t so I said I wanted to go home. My sister made me drive myself home so she could stay and watch the movie. AT LEAST ONE OF US ENJOYED THE MOVIE! Haha So that started the 48 hours of Hell. I didn’t sleep at all that night but instead had a hallucinogenic fever. The next morning I had to make myself finish laundry and pack for the 10 am flight that I had to catch, which I wasn’t even sure if I was on… Then I got back to Boston, which was pouring rain, with two suitcases and a carryon bag. Got to my room to find the fire alarm going off because of the LEAKS in the roof. I pulled out the fire alarm, put down buckets for the water and went to bed. Only good thing about the stomach flu was I lost 5 pounds…. So wrong but so riiiight…

Check out this link! The shoot I did for the Boston University BUZZ Magazine is featured! Some of my pictures are up with Kacy and Chantal!

http://www.collegefashionista.com/2010/03/10/fashion-news-whats-the-buzz/

It is also to by extreme regret and embarrassment that in NO FRY MARCH that I ate 5 fries from Evos over spring break. I remembered as potatoes and Lent came up so I stopped… I am sorry.

Spring Break B@#$hes!

Hey! Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope that you decided to support and follow my journey onto becoming successful in modeling. Thanks to Gina, Kristen, Roneil, RaeAnne, Brian, Lindsey and Jenn for posting comments on the last entry!

Desiree- The comment was so rude! Mind you, we have mutual friends AND have been in social settings together. He said something to the affect that I don’t know him and why would I ask him something personal if I didn’t know if it was true. The douche bag failed to remember that I asked him about him being a male escort a while ago, but he never replied so I emailed him again. Can’t wait to see him again to make thing super awkward… barggggggg!!!

I would also like to congratulate you guys for progressively making this blog more successful! Last week we had 1195 views! That’s awesome! Spread the word to your friends so we can keep expanding!

Also must apologize for not having much on this post… I planned a lot more, but technology has stood firmly in my way. My internet at my house is not working at all and am barely able to post this entry.

The Happenings

Every time I come home my eating regiment is shot to hell. As much as I try to keep it under control, it always goes awry. This time, I ate so much pizza and crap the first few days I was home. I stepped on the scale Monday morning and it told me I gained 10 pounds. I think that is wrong because I know my weight fluctuates a lot but not that much. Right? Then again, I haven’t been doing ANY cardio… I feel gross. After 3/7 I decided that for the remainder of March will not only be no fry month but no pizza, or ice cream or anything dessert-y stuff month. I need to realize if I want to play with the big dogs I got to act like them. Phase two is now starting…

Sunday, I went on Kelly’s sail boat with her parents, Shannon, Jenn, Lauren and Kelly. I’ve never been sailing before so it was fun and it was a beautiful day so I got some sun. We had a nice lunch at The Vinoy then later that day we went to Lauren’s for an Oscar party. We ordered pizza, made cookies and had hummus and pita chips. We had a contest to see who got the most Oscar winners right. I won (with Jenn- ugh we tied).

Monday, I stayed home all day. I went for a bike ride and laid out at a park. Tuesday, I went to lunch and dinner with family and then saw “Dear John” with Kelly, Lauren and Jenn. Wednesday, I tried to go get a new driver’s license, but did not have the 87926298469 forms of id they need to print me a new license. So I went to Target and shopped around.
